With so many types of thermostats to choose from the task can be daunting. Airstream Services LLC. will give you the information and tools needed to make the right decision for your household.
Non- Programmable Thermostats
A digital non-programmable thermostat is a very cost effective option but it also does not offer a lot of the features that the others provide. As your most basic type, these thermostats simply offer a digital display showing the current temperature, set temperature and system modes (typically fan and heating and cooling settings). Operation of a non-programmable thermostat is fairly straight forward, you set the desired temperature and set system to either heat or cool and the A/C unit will satisfy as required. If you’re the type that likes things simple and don’t mind waiting for your home to cool down or heat up, a non programmable thermostat is your best bet.
Programmable Thermostats
Programmable thermostats offer more flexibility when it comes to setting the temperature in your home or office. This type of thermostat keeps button pressing to a minimum by allowing you to choose a temperature for the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Some programmable models also allow you be further granular and set up different times for different days.
Wireless Thermostats
A more expensive option than the previous thermostats listed above but if you want full reign over your HVAC system remotely this is the way to go. You can break from the normal programmed routine if something unexpected comes up which makes way for more savings on your electric and natural gas bills.
